Carbon Fiber Tube Clamp 10-40mm | Aluminum Alloy Mounting Clamp

Black aluminum clamps for 10mm to 40mm carbon fiber and aluminum tubes.

Pick the size that matches your tube's outside diameter. That is the only measurement that matters. Wall thickness, inner diameter and weave have no effect on which clamp fits — a 16mm clamp goes on a 16mm tube. If you are measuring a tube you already have, measure across the outside, not the bore.

Each clamp is two halves that close around the tube and draw together with two socket-head bolts. The nylon-insert lock nuts come with them. That nylon ring is why these stay put on a multicopter: vibration that walks a plain nut loose over a few flights will not move a nyloc, so you are not re-tightening the frame every weekend.

Leave the bolts slack and the clamp slides along the tube and rotates freely. Set your length and angle first, then tighten. No glue, no drilling, and if you later change the layout the tube is still intact and reusable.

Where we see them used

Multirotor arms and landing gear, gimbal and camera mounts, RC plane fuselage joints, robot frames, and brackets that carry a sensor or light on a tube structure. Basically anywhere a tube has to hold something or meet another tube at an angle.

Before you order

• Measure across the outside of your tube. A reading of 15.7mm means you want the 16mm clamp.
• Tubes are not included. This listing is for clamps only — our carbon fiber tubes are listed separately if you need both.
• Need a size outside 10–40mm, or something in between? Send us the outer diameter and wall thickness. Custom sizes are possible, usually from 10 pieces.
• For a rigid joint we suggest one clamp per end of the tube rather than a single clamp in the middle.

One thing worth knowing before you tighten these down: a clamp will crush a thin wall if the tube has nothing behind it. There is a section on that in the cutting and mounting guide, and it is the difference between a rigid joint and a cracked arm.
