Carbon Fiber Pultrusion Tube

Pultruded tube, pulled through a die rather than wrapped. The surface is smooth and matte with no weave showing, and the fibres run along the length, which makes it stiff down the tube and light for its size.

These come in 300mm lengths, 1.8mm to 10mm outside, each with a bore through the middle. Small and light — the sort of tube that ends up as a pushrod, a kite spar, or a linkage in a small model.

Wall thickness is (outside minus bore) divided by two. It is worth doing that sum before ordering, because two tubes with the same outside diameter can behave very differently.
