These are plastic, not carbon fiber. We mention that first because the listing sits among carbon parts and it catches people out. The cap presses onto the end of a tube and closes it, so grit, swarf and moisture stay out of the bore and a cut edge is no longer sharp.

Match the cap to your tube's outer diameter. If your tube is an odd size or sits between two of the sizes below, measure it and send us the number.

What they are for

A tube you have cut has an open end. The cap closes it so dust and moisture cannot get into the bore, which matters on anything stored in a workshop or flown off wet grass. It also covers the cut edge, so the end of the tube stops catching fingers and snagging on fabric or wiring.

Cosmetically it finishes the tube. A bare cut end on a visible arm looks like a part that was never completed; with the cap on, the assembly reads as finished.

Where we see them used

Drone arms and landing gear, RC airframes, kite spars, camera sliders, robot frames, and the exposed ends of any tube assembly that gets handled.

Before you order

• Measure across the outside of your tube. These are sized to the tube OD, not the bore, so a 16mm cap is for a 16mm tube.
• Not carbon fiber. If you need metal or carbon end fittings instead, message us and we will point you at the right part.
• Tubes are not included. This listing is caps only — our carbon fiber tubes are listed separately.
